The half-equivalence point and the equivalence point should not be noted when measuring pH changes during a titration. True or False ?
Equivalence point is a point at which acid has been neutralised by the base. And the half of the point from equivalence point to origin is known as the half-equivalence point. At this point the pH if the solution is equal to dissociation constant (pKa) of the acid. It is necessary to note the equivalence point during titration or else we won't be avle to make out the change in pH. It is at this point where the indicator changes its colour according to the pH.
