Answer-- Pollution in the United States over the past 50 years diminished very dramatically because of implementations of different laws and regulations like the Clean Air Act 1970. This law prevent air pollution, concerns over the ozone layer, and for public health. The clean air act gives permission to the Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) to take action against violates of Air pollution by taking strict actions and fines to the industries, vehicles, and sources of pollution. The environmental protection agency only having the rights and responsibilities for the different functions like giving license to the industries, enforcing laws on the environment , making rules and regulations for the common peoples and citizens to follow to reduce pollution. Time by time Clean Air Act get some modification according to the different pollution problems but mainly Clean air act get some amendments in 1977 and 1990 because most of the states of the united were failed to achieve the goals to reduce pollution which was set by the Clean Air Act and Environmental protection agency.
Main Reasons of diminishing in Pollution were--
1. Reducing toxic emissions from industries, factories sources.
2. Use of clean energy fuels instead of petrol diesel and crude oils, motivating citizens towards use electronic buses, cars, and any vehicles.
3. Reducing the use of coal for energy production because the use of coal causes around 24% in air pollution.
4. Implementation of 3R in states of the United States which is reduce, reuse, and recycle.
5.EPA force factories to shut their factories from Public areas to outskirts of the city.
6. Use of clean energy like wind energy, geothermal energy , solar energy, instead of burning of fossil fuels which cause pollution.
7. Change in the engine of old vehicles and factories.
