Mr. Fantastic (from the fantastic four) has the ability to stretch his body. Describe his super power using the material property terms. Make sure to include the following terms in your description: Elongation to failure, elastic modulus, stiffness, and yield strength. You may need to perform a quick internet search to understand his character superpowers. If you are not familiar with the character please read the powers and abilities section of this website https://comicvine.gamespot.com/mr-fantastic/4005-2151/ to get a general idea of what he is able to do.
The radiation that gave Dr. Reed his power probably changed the interatomic forces between his atoms. This gave him the ability to be elastic and stretch his entire body (or even parts of it) as he pleased. (The mechanism of how he is able to control his elasticity so precisely is still unknown.
What we do know however is that he is 5'10" tall and weighs 165 lbs., he has a very very very low elastic modulus, he is known to be able to stretch to up to 1,500ft. (Before he feels any discomfort) and still be able to regain his original (normal) human form. He is also known to have stretched himself into openings as small as a molecules' breadth. Although his true elongation failure is not completely known it is greater than 1,500ft.
His Tensile strength is very very high, being a person who does not like violence, Mr Fantastic tends to wrap himself around opponents and try to come to a compromise. During all this the oponent will be giving quite a few blows and even use weapons against him, this however does not cause any permanent damage and Mr Fantastic can get to his original form again. He does not however have infinite tensile strength. There have been situations where his skin has been cut and has taken damage when stretched.
Speaking about stiffness, Mr Fantastic can control the stiffness of his body. He can choose to have a normal stiff body and when he wishes to he will reduce his stiffness and stretch himself to superhuman levels.
