In pharmacokinetics, what happens when Cmax and AUC are decreased, while Tmax is prolonged?
Ans: Cmax(it is the maximum serum concentration that a drug achieves in a specified compartment) and Tmax(it is the time at Cmax is observed) are closely related to each other if Cmax is decreased while Tmax is prolonged the serum concentration at which the drug reach test area of body will get slower down.
(AUC) is the definite integral of a curve that describes the variation of a drug concentration in blood plasma as a function of time. Area under the curve(AUC) is decreased the curve will get flattened because the Cmax is decreased but the Tmax is prolonged.
