These data are useful for the faculty for their decision making process with regard to future planning. The data are stored in BUSSTUDYMAJOR worksheet in the .xls file attached.

1. Use an appropriate graphical technique or chart to display the percentage value of the number of enrolment of the different study major in 2018. Display the chart.

2. Use an appropriate graphical technique or chart to compare the number of enrolment in 2018 and 2019 of the different study major. Display the chart.

This question can be solved using MS Excel.

As pe question percentage enrolment under each study major is to be represented in a diagram.

The categories under study major are nominal. so, we can use a pie chart to represent the percentage enrolment under each study major.

Steps:

1) Insert the data for 2018 in excel- column A- different values under Study major and Column B- corresponding values for 2018

2) Calculate total of column B by using the formula =SUM(B2:B9)

3) Calculate percentage in Column C by using the formula (No of enroled under study major group A/Total enrolment)*100. E.g., we want to find percentage of enrolement under Business Analyst category, then in excel use =(B2/B10)*100

4) Select the Study major and percentage column-> go to inser tab-> select pie chart
