•The RNA-induced silencing complex, or RISC, is a multiprotein complex, specifically a ribonucleoprotein, which incorporates one strand of a single-stranded RNA (ssRNA) fragment, such as microRNA (miRNA), or double-stranded small interfering RNA (siRNA).
RNAi :- RNA interference (RNAi) it is a key process in gene silencing
•It inhibit gene expression or translation, by neutralizing targeted mRNA molecules.
miRNA:- microRNA (miRNA), Single stand RNA , acts as a template for RISC to recognize complementary messenger RNA (mRNA) transcript.
siRNA :- small interfering RNA (siRNA), Double strand RNA , central to RNA interference- process in gene silencing .
•piRNA :- Piwi-interacting RNA (piRNA) is the largest class of small non-coding RNA molecules
•involved in the epigenetic and post-transcriptional silencing of transposable elements .
