Discuss the recommended maximum number of levels in the outsourcing (supply) chain
The three-pitch of supply chain management involves the following:
Strategic Planning includes an effective supply chain strategy that begins with effective planning and adequate long-term decision-making.
The strategy level mainly starts from the groundwork, which includes the entire supply chain process from beginning to end, and it is an essential component of Supply chain management.
It includes choosing the site and purpose of facilities. It is there to get maximum output using fewer inputs.
Tactical Management -
Manufacturing solution makes a short-term conclusion that includes the supply chain at a tactical pitch. At this level, general planning takes place, but processes are typically present at the tactical level. Tactical decisions play an important role in controlling costs and minimizing risks. Some of the main concerns include procurement contracts for materials, production timings, and guidelines to meet quality, transportation and warehousing solutions, and inventory logistics.
The Operation Level - The operational level of supply chain management importantly thinks about day to day ways, decision making, and planning to maintain the supply chain running. The primary purpose is to deal with problems that take days, keep transportation, warehousing in balance, and make it done effectively.
