X-ray of the chest is taken from front-to-back.
- Ba: The symbol for barium. Two main types of tests are
conducted with the use of barium: the barium meal or barium
swallow, for radiologic examination of the upper gastrointestinal
tract, and the barium enema for examination of the lower
gastrointestinal tract.
- CXR: Chest x-rays (CXR) are a
scan used to evaluate the lungs, heart and chest wall and can
detect medical conditions such as: Pneumonia.

(GI) tract. The esophagus, stomach, and duodenum
(first part of the small intestine) are made visible on X-ray film
by a liquid suspension.
- V/Q scan: Also known as Lung or Pulmonary Ventilation
(V) and Perfusion (Q)
Scans. A lung VQ scan is an
imaging test that uses a ventilation (V)
scan to measure air flow in your lungs and a
perfusion (Q) scan to see where
blood flows in your lungs.
