The main aspect of transformational leader is that they have the ability to influence people beyond work group and reporting relationships. A transformational leader as a CEO in the major retailers would help them to establish better relationship with the manufacturers, suppliers, customers and other people in the supply chain. A transformational leader develops and transforms the organization as well as the people and supports the group members to move towards success. They create vision for the organization and communicate the same with the employees to guide and motivate the employees through a set of values that constitute the vision. They encourage the personal development of their staff and help the group members to improve their performance by giving positive feedbacks and recognizing the achievements. Another attribute of transformational leaders include innovative thinking through which they encourage the group members to think innovatively and take up challenging assignments. Transformational leadership would help the organizations to improve their team level performance by inspiring the members and the organizational level performance through intelligence and conscientiousness.
