It all starts right from the end of the Big Bang which is almost 14 billion years ago! The Heat radiation which is been emitted out from the time of Big Bang is still being prevailed in space. They are called as the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiations and as the name mentions the spectrum of these radiations lies on the microwave region and it won't be visible to our naked eyes. The temperature of these radiations are so low that they are about 2 degrees!!
The Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation was so intense during the time of big bang which was almost 275 million degrees. As time passed, the intensity reduced due to the mass spread of radiation. All these would quite give you the big picture I hope.
Well, there is a much bigger picture and research happening on this. Scientists observe these Cosmic Microwave Radiations (CMR) and by studying their ups and down and fluctuations received by these CMR , they would be able to study the large scale structures and bodies. They could also study the origin of our Galaxy!!
Talking about the recent articles, CMR is giving clues about Dark Matter and Dark Energy which are assumed as the mysterious forces which are driving and pushing the universe.
