Assessment and Diagnosis of a Celebrity or Historic
Individual
This project provides another opportunity to apply the concepts of
diagnosis and assessment. With this assignment, choose an
individual who is either a well-known celebrity or historical
figure. You will need to discuss the individual’s childhood and
family circumstances. (Please Detailed on family and childhood)
Also please present the problem, etiology, diagnosis and treatment, and list the cite you got them from.
First paragraph is the individuals childhood and family circumstances. Second paragraph is the problem that is present. Than third is the etiology. In last but not least the fourth is the diagnosis and the treatment that the person went through or is going through.
Manisha Koirala was a successful Bollywood actor. She suffered from Clinical Depression.
Manisha Koirala was born into a prominent Koirala family in Nepal and many of her family members ruled the Nation. She had a sibling, who also is an actor. She was not interested in Politics and stint in modelling opened a career in films. She spent her early life in India, away from her parents at her grandmother's house, which she claims has made her strong and independent. Initially she wanted to become a doctor but later became a very successful actor. She married a Nepali businessman whom she met through Facebook.
Clinical Depression is a mental health disorder characterized by extreme sadness, loss of interest in almost all the activities and a significant impairment in daily life.g
Manisha Koirala and her husband got divorced two years later after their marriage. The same year she was diagnosed with breast cancer. This left the actor wallowing in the depths of depression.
The disorder is clinically identified by few tests like physical exam, blood/ thyroid test and psychiatric evaluation. Medications and psychotherapy is offeres to the people suffering from this ailment and is mostly effective. Manisha along with psychotherapy and medicines was lucky to get the support and understanding of her friends which helped her recover from it soon.
