The analysis also suggests that many companies that potentially adopted the total quality management practices found it challenging to imitate such practices because of fact from various factors like social complexity, cause and effect relationship while implementing total quality management practices, and organizational performance.
In the findings, different subsets of total quality management factors got determined by different types of organizational culture, and the hierarchical culture in the organization had an essential relation with certain practices of total quality management.
Such findings indicated that although the cultural factors impacting different elements of total quality management are dissimilar, organizations can still implement them. Organizations need to accommodate conflicting goals through a system or structure that would allow flexibility in adapting different management styles.
