Autonomous driving technology is going on a test run on actual roads in order to become commercialization. As self-driving technology, which has been conducted under controlled experimental conditions, is going to drive on actual roads, it is facing various problems in reality. Self-driving cars, which are being developed at home and abroad, are considered to be much safer than cars driven by humans, but are not yet perfect. Will these cars be able to commercialize only after they have solved all of the various problems they face in the actual driving of the road, or will they be able to be more efficient and safer than human driving vehicles? Explain your opinion about autonomous driving technology with above question and What level of accidents and mistakes can we tolerate in self-driving cars.
As far as security and level of accidents is compared in between self autonomous vehicles and vehicles with drivers, I believe that self autonomous vehicles can be commercialized very soon as we all know that vehicles with drivers also have a high rate of accidents.
According to me, self autonomous vehicles should be commercialized as soon as their rate of accidents fall below than that of vehicles with human driver. One more reason in favour of this is that in extreme conditions, where the chances of accident is very high, the human driver will be panicked and will not think accordingly, where as algorithm of autonomous vehicle will ensure minimum damage to life.
And as far as all other various problems currently faced by autonomous vehicles are concerned, these will get eliminated once they are out in the market very soon due to availability of more data and more experience.
