Formula to calculate the dipole moment of magnet:
If magnetic pole strength of magnet is m and distance between two poles are 2l then, magnetic moment is given as,
General equation of a dipole moment of a magnet that is placed near a wire with a current running through it:
A loop of wire with a current running through it will have a magnetic moment proportional to the current and area of the loop pointing in the direction of your right thumb if your fingers are curling in the direction of the current.
Dipole moment of a magnet which is placed near a current carrying wire will be induced magnetic dipole moment i,e which is produced due to the magnetic field of current carrying wire.
