Questions about relationship*
1. Explain the relationship between correlation
analysis dan regression analysis( * is relationsip, not difference
)
2. Explain the relationship between correlation covariance
3. Explain the relationship on this three analysis
Ans. (1)
Correlation analysis is one of the statistical methods to measure the strength between the two variable or more than to two variable.
The regression analysis is the prediction of the value of the dependent variable based on the value of inde[endent variable.
(2)
(a)The covariance is the measure of correlation and it is used in the calculation of correlation. The range of the value of correlation is between -1 and 1however the value of covariance lie between negative infinity to positive infinity.
(b) The covariance and correlation both measure does not affect by the change in the location. The covariance is affected by a change in scale however the correlation does not affect by a change in scale.
(3)
The regression, covariance, and correlation all measures are used to analyze the relationship between two variables in a different way. The value of covariance is used to calculate the correlation and the predicted values from the regression equation may be used for further calculation of covariance and correlation.
