Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person sneezes, coughs or exhales. These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air and quickly fall on floors or surfaces. A person infected by breathing in the virus by touching a contaminated surface and then your eyes, nose or mouth and if they are within close proximity of someone who has COVID-19.
The city of Wuhan, is home to about 11 million people. Wuhan, China's former epicenter, recently reported its first cluster. Wuhan the epicentre of the novel coronavirus pandemic in China began last december, has reported its first cluster of infections. New mutations in the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) that is behind the current COVID-19 pandemic. Since a lockdown was lifted a month ago, stoking concerns of a wider resurgence of the disease. The city announced all residents will be tested over a 10-day period.
Recently in all of the latest cases people who test positive for the virus and are capable of infecting others but do not show clinical signs such as a fever. Hundreds of asymptomatic cases in Wuhan monitered after long lockdown (ended on April) and are being monitored. The numbers of new cases reported in China since April have been small compared with the thousands confirmed befor months. The confirmation of new infections in Wuhan comes after the government announced the reopening of cinemas, museums and other venues. The cluster was just six cases when the city began reopened in early April.
