A vertical axis rotational apparatus shown is the apparatus we used in Laboratory. The apparatus has low friction, low mass rotating bracket that holds a disk. The disk has a diameter of 25.4 cm and a mass of 4.33 kg. The hub around which the string is wrapped is 4.76 cm in diameter. The apparatus is accelerated by a string wrapped around a circular hub at the center of the base of the apparatus. The string passes horizontally over a low friction low mass pulley to a hanging mass which fall toward the floor when released. When the hanging mass is released from rest the disk spins through 4.0 rotations before hitting the floor The time from release to when the mass strikes the floor is 6.2 seconds. What is the angular acceleration of the apparatus using radian measure? Assume constant acceleration. Include units. Use the following format for writing powers positive s^2 or negative s^(-2).

Plotting rotational variables Continuing on with using the human body as a physics apparatus, it’s time to try an experiment with your leg!  First, find a comfortable place where you can sit and swing your legs freely.  This could be an office chair which you raise to the point where your feet do not touch the ground, a table top (which can support your weight!), picnic table, or any other location where you sit and swing your legs freely from your knees....

Draw a graph with leisure on the horizontal axis and income on the vertical axis. Assume 320 discretionary hours in a month, that can be used for labor or leisure, and that the wage is $13 an hour. Draw the budget constraint, and an indifference curve corresponding to choosing a full time 160 hour a month job. Label earnings. Assume the family would qualify for $785 in TANF benefits each month if hours of labor are zero. The program offers...

Hello for a laboratory experiment we used strain gauges to measure the internal pressure of a coke can. Our instructor told us one of the sources of error would be not aligning the gauges perfectly. Why would this cause error in the experiment? Is there any other sources of error as well.
