How accident or incidents in airport to be measured? Design a schematic diagram of your intended airport related to the airport safety

Solutions

Expert Solution

To design an airport safety and accident measurement system, we need to create a dashboard that will provide the various statistics related to the metrics regarding airport accident measurement. These metrics will provide us an idea of our airport safety.

The measurement of the accidents or incidents at the Vadodara International Airport can be measured by using the following data:

1. The Accidents Year till Date:

This chart will show the total cumulative accidents on a chart with the number of accidents on the Y-axis and the Date on the X-axis, this chart can also have a graph representing the cumulative accidents of the last year.

2. Accident Rate Chart

Accident Rate is defined as the: Total Accidents / Million Departures and the chart can represent the number of accidents per million departures on the Y-axis and the Year on the X-axis. This can be done for our particular airport and also in the backdrop the accident rate of the world can be drawn which will provide a comparison with our airport.

3.Number of accidents ( Year Wise )

This will represent e=the total number of accidents that occurred on our chosen airport year wise.

4. Fatalities ( Year WIse )

This chart will represent the total number of human fatalities that occurred at the airport, year wise.

The dashboard will look like this :

Does reaction time (measured in seconds) depend on how much coffee is consumed? Researchers design an experiment in which subjects are instructed to look at a computer screen and respond as quickly as possible—by pressing a button—as soon as a particular stimulus appears on the computer screen. Prior to responding to the computer stimulus, subjects are either randomly assigned to drink no coffee, to drink one cup of coffee, or to drink two cups of coffee. It is observed that...
