Alice’s parents are very strict with her. In her family, her father always makes decisions about everything from what kind of car they will buy to how weekend time is spent. She is required to obey her parents and never question the reasons for their rules. What can you tell us about her family situation? According to the information given in the example we see that Alice's parents are very strict with her and that she is required to obey her parents and never question their reason for rules. This characteristics are indicative of authoritarian parenting style. This style is characterized by high demands and low responsiveness and support towards the child. In the above example too Alice 's parents are very strict with b er and want her to obey their rules which is indicative of high demands but they never take her opinion with regards to the car that they will buy or how to spend the weekend.
