part a)
Landed on jail
To land on the jail we need to have the 10 score from the sum of two dice this can be formed by the following sample space:
(6,4), (5,5) and (4,6)
So out of 36 sample space we have only 3 sample space is favourable so probability woudl be :
= 3/36
=1/12
So there is 1/12 probability that we can land on jail
Part B)
For landing on any Light blue property we need to have 6,8 or 9 from the two dice
so total favourable space would be :
For 6: (5,1),(1,5),(2,4),(4,2),(3,3)
For 8: (2,6),(6,2),(5,3),(3,5),(4,4)
For 9: (3,6),(6,3),(4,5),(5,4)
So total favourable space is 14 out of 36 sample space so total probability to land on light blue property would be : 14/36
Part C:
To land on mediterrian avenue, we need to have 1 from two dice as we have minimum sum from two dice is 2 so we don't have any favourable space to have 1 to reach the mediterrian avenue so total probabiltiy woudl be 0 as 0 is the favarouble space so probability is 0 (0/36)
Part D:
To land on chance we need to have 7 and to land in community chest we need to have 2
So for 7 we can have : (1,6),(6,1),(2,5),(5,2),(3,4),(4,3)
and for 2 we can have : (1,1)
so total 7 favourable space out of 36 sample space so we have proability would be :
= 7/36
So total probabililty to land in chance or community chest would be 7/36
