• The quantity,quality and duration of light affects plant growth.Light quantity refers to the intensity of sunlight which varies with the season.Light quality refers to the wavelengthof light.The greatest effect on plant growth is due to the absoption of red and blue light.Duration is the  photoperiod which refers to the amount of time a plant is exposed to light.They are classed as Short-day plants ,long-day plants and Day-neutral plants
• Temperature influences photosynthesis, transpiration, respiration, germination, and flowering of plants
• Humidity is the ratio of water vapor in the air to the amount of water the air could hold at the current temperature and pressure.
