This is the substrate concentration and the kinetic slopes from lab experiment. I'm suppose to construct a graph to estimate Km and Vmax (that's where I need help. How do I do that? Also, I'm suppose to construct another graph of "linear transfored" plot (lineweaver-burk or Eadie-hofstee plots) to determine Km and Vmax. HELP!

Solutions

Expert Solution

by enzyme kinetics equation is

ploting graph between 1/s0 vs 1/v0

intercept gives 1/Vmax and slope gives KM/Vmax

by ploting graphs in excel slope and intercept obtained are

1. uninhibited 1/Vmax = 1.9041 , Vmax =0.525

slope = Km/Vmax = 0.1384, Km = 0.07266

2. inhibited 1/ Vmax = 0.8289, Vmax =1.2064

slope = Km/ Vmax = 1.1643, Km = 1.4046

I have a lab assignment that I'm not sure how to do. The experiment is a cart moving 60cm distance and there is a fan on top of it making it have a mass of .56kg. Every trial there is 100g added to the cart. For this part, the time is kept the same. 1. If the force provided by the fan was the same for each run and we have chosen the same time interval, how does the impulse...

Elastic Collision lab. I'm trying to calculate velocity, momentum, and kinetic energy in an elastic collision. The data I have is this. I tried using these numbers to calculate velocity and momentum but the results show momentum is not conserved as it should be. Is that just error from measurements or am I missing something? Design an experiment that you could perform in our lab to determine the coefficient of kinetic friction and static friction and to compare the coefficient of kinetic friction and static friction. A good design should include details of the materials and equipment needs, the experimental procedure, including precautions, the types of data you will collect, how the data will be represented and analyzed, and how you will determine the accuracy of your experimental result(s).

Hi! I'm doing a lab report on the synthesis of divanillin from vanillin and h202 using horseradish peroxidase type 1 enzyme. I'm wondering what the steps are in the reaction (drawing), and what the roles of h202, acetic acid, and ph changes are? :) Thank you!

I need to find the theoretical yield of benzoic acid from this lab experiment. The first part of the experiment involved this formula C6H5COOH + NaOH ------> C6H5COO-Na+ + H2O where we mixed 30 mL of a stock solution of toluene-benzoic acid mixture and then added 15.0 mL of aqueous sodium hydroxide to seperate the two layers. In the second part, C6H5COO-Na + Hcl-------> C6H5COOH + NaCl we took the aqueous layer extracted from the mixture in the first part...
