Please type 150 words answering: What are the possible sources of noise and how does this unwanted signal adversely affect signal transmission?
Noise is an unwanted signal that interferes with the measurement of other wanted signal.
The possible causes or sources of noise are coming from moving, vibrating or colloiding such as revolving vehicles, moving vehicles, keyboard clocks, wind, rain, computer fans, etc.
This noise can interefere with transmission and reception of voice, audio, image and data over the radio frequency spectrum. This noise is generally of radio frequency electromagnetic range.
There are diferent types of noises like impulsive noise, white noise, transient noise pulse, coloured noise ,thermal noise, shot noise etc.,
EFFECTS:
The wanted signals when propgated through a channel they are sometimes affected by unwanted signals(noise) and the signal therefore becomes distorted.
It can have magnitude distortion of phase distortion.Diferent types of noise leads to different problems. If phase of signal changes it leads to phase distortion and it in turn leads to change of modulation. If magnitude changes it leads to magnitude or amplitude distortion and in turn leads to modulation scheme change.
