describe four of the worldviews presented in Tim Keller's article "4 wrong answers to why me? what are the implications of each worldview as one responds to the struggles or the death of a loved one?
Tim kellers article discusses with natural events occurring in life. The problems in life, which maybe diseases, calamities, disasters and various issues that are occurring in human life. Then people ask the question why these happening to me? There is 4 answers to it , but it is inappropriate or wrong that's why these are called as 4 wrong answers why to me.
Answer 1- This makes no sense, means this proves that there is no god. This answer is inadequate because suffering occurs without any sense its true but if we stop believing in god didn't help you to get rid of problems. Instead of that strugglers should believe in way that occurence of disasters and diseases are natural, so believe in god during that time will help to increase confidence and mental strength to cope with situation.
Answer 2- If there is god why he can't stop this senseless suffering. This is also inappropriate, the whole world is made up of natural forces so violence , disasters and diseases are a part of natural process.
Answer 3- God saves some people and let others die, he favors and rewards good people. This totally wrong and disagree by Bible and many religious books. There is no such uniform selection in disasters and diseases that we can see in practical life itself.
Answer 4- God knows what he is doing, so be quiet and trust him . This is partially right but not appropriate because according to our beliefs god didn't create bad or evil so telling god is creating evil events is not appropriate, but trusting him in bad times will help us. Gods action can't be comprehensible to humen being because it's just like a small kid listening to parents. All activities of parents are not comprehensible to children. These are implications of each view during struggle period.
