Why is this important to accomplish before Callie starts performing sterilization procedures? What information in this manual would be the most important to Callie as she starts this new position? Sanitization- It refers to the reduction of pathogenic microbial population to a certain level at which items are considered as safe to handle without protective attire.

Disinfectant- Process of destroying or removes most of not all pathogenic organisms but not bacterial spores. Generally used chemical agents - disinfectant.

Sterilization- It is the process by which all living microorganisms including viable spores are either destroyed or removed from an article, body surface or medium. It results in reduction of atleast 10⁶ log colony forming units of microorganisms, and their spores.

Sanitization, disinfection, sterilization, are the essential that need to followed during COVID spread, depending upon the user disinfectant must be used frequently, effective disinfectant is sodium hypochlorite known as household bleach is available with the 5-6% solution can be diluted in water.

Any surfaces that are come contact with the user frequently we need to disinfect such as table tops, counter tops handles, door knobs should be left one minute and then wiped out thoroughly.

For sterilization of room, we can use UV-C band light, but it is dangerous for our eye and skin. So the room should be properly closed.

Normally disinfectant that are generally used is Lysol, harpic, can be used to clean the floor.

Soap solutions with warm water is used to clean the clothes.

Explanation- It is important for Callie to check all policy and guidelines that are given by the government. To ensure the proper cleaning, sanitation, disinfection before sterilization , it helps herself to protect also from dangerous agents.

Manual would be important to know what exactly the concentration of chemical agents, nature of sterilant and disinfection and know local environment to understand better for new commer to handle the whole situation.
