Solutions

Expert Solution

option C

qualitative data is one on which meaningful mathematical calculation cannot be performed whereas meaningful mathematical calculation can be performed on quantitative   data  .

continuous values can take any number on the number line i.e. includes fraction .

Discrete data takes only whole numbers eg: 2, , 4 ,5 etc only

qualitative data may involve categorical values ( eg: high medium low , male. female , Yes/NO)

  • the number of hours (to one decimal place) spent with investee companies will provide quantitative data .Since number of hours upto 1 decimal place is allowed eg: 2.3 , 4.5. 6.4 , so data will be continuous
  • the number of venture capital investment vehicles they were managing at the end of the previous financial year will provide quantitative data in whole numbers so discrete
  • whether they controlled any funds of overseas investors : qualitative data , as it can be either overseas funds are controlled :yes or not
