Why is problem definition so important in the poblic policy process?
Public policy is a set of objectives set by the government relating to the general health and welfare of the public and actions taken to accomplish it.
The public policy process is the manner in which public policy is formed, implemented and evaluated.
It has divided into two 4 phase
Problem identification : First if we identify a problem we should define it and what is the need and within what timelines we have to solve it. IF we identify a poor sanitation in particular area, we have immediately rectified it, provide good sanitary facilities in terms of water plant, latrines and bathrooms and proper drainage system.
This problem we have to define in such a way that if we solve this we secure the people health. Then the concern government body will think of options, will choose the best out of it and evaluate their implementation.
