In his statement on Martin Luther King Jr assassination, that was delivered on April 4th 1968,at Indianapolis, Indiana, Robert F Kennedy addresses effectively about their leader Martin Luther King Jr to an audience with majority of blacks .The following are few lines from his statement about Martin Luther King Jr :
"Martin Luther King dedicated his life to love and to justice for fellow human beings, and he died because of that effort"
" Or we can make an effort ,as Martin Luther King did,to understand and to comprehend,and to replace that violence,that stain of blood shed that has spread across our land , with an effort to understand with compassion and love"
In these lines Robert speaks about the greatness of Martin Luther King as great leader who laid down his life for the cause of love and justice to his fellow people.A leader who was compassionate and understanding,who promoted non violence. Robert Kennedy appeals his audience to follow the ideals of Martin Luther King by raising him as a true leader ,who sacrificed his life for upliftment of his people and for the ideals of love, justice and non violence.
