Criticism has been leveled at the curative rather than health promotion and disease prevention focus of the U.S. healthcare system. Should the focus change? Why or why not? Do you see evidence of a shift occurring? If so, what do you think is contributing to that change?
Yes,Thats because it is the Americans who spend more on health and treatment than any other country.People doesnt realise that behaviour modification is a way to prevent disease.Lack of accessibility, high costs and lack of timely availability of physicians who participated in the Affordable care act exchanges limited patients from recieving preventing care. The physicians should be rewarded for preventing disease and must hold patients individually accountable for behaviour s .Prevention also has a long-term economic effects and it can reduce absenteeism and improve worker and corporate productivity. We can improve outcomes such as increasing life expectancy and improve infant mortality rates
