Reasons for transformation of Healthcare delivery:

Healthcare delivery is the supply or provision of healthcare services to the population. In recent years the way healthcare is delivered has undergone major transformation such as Electronic medical/ health records, telemedicine and tele health , sensors and wearable technology , wireless communication, robotic assisted surgeries etc.

The top two reasons for the transformation of Healthcare delivery are;

1. Technological advancement

2. Standards laid by Government and professional bodies.

1. Technological advancement and new inventions contributed a greater change in healthcare delivery. The invention of wireless and internet technologies, creations of new apps and software, remote monitoring system, sensors etc made it possible to deliver the healthcare in a more sophisticated way to the general population. Telemedicine and tele health made it possible for the people who are far from healthcare facilities to access the physicians and nurses easily. Mobile health units / Mobie ICUs that move from one place to another place provided even critical care to the needy people.

2. To improve the quality and standard of Healthcare and hospitals , Government and professional organisations laid down the standards for each profession.  Comparing to past decades the professional organisations and Accreditation bodies are strictly monitoring the standards of care delivered by Healthcare facilities and education given by Medical, nursing and other allied health educational institutions . Each Healthcare profession competes to deliver quality healthcare to the patients and consumers of Healthcare.
