Political, economic, cultural and social factors affect the
global movement. Employment opprtunities are most common reason for
global movement of people. Along with this lack of opportunities,
better education, construction of dams, globalization, natural
disasters, exhaustion of natural resources, scarcity of cultivated
land, inequitable distribution of land etc forces the people to
move globally.
Political factors
State persecution involves harassment, discrimination and torture
of people who were diagree with the government activities against
minority religious beliefs or their ethnic backgrounds. Lack of
political liberties, war are the main factors push the people for
migration
Economic factors
Low agricultural income, higher unemployment and underemployment
and poverty, and income inequality forces the people to migrate
other nations which provides high wages and wide range of job
opportunities
Cultural factors
Cultural reasons for migration includes the need for better
education or religious freedom. People may also move to areas that
have already been settled by others from their culture
Social factors
Lack of services, low standard of living, lack of safety, high
crime, crop failure, drought famine, sexism, racism, religous
discrimination pushes the people to find destination of other
nations
