What cosmological observations suggest the presence of Dark Energy? What percentage of the energy density in the Universe is Dark Energy?
Dark energy: Dark energy is defined by the unknown form of energy, which effects the universe on the largest scales and acts in opposition to gravity and accounting most of the energy is in it & causing expansion of universe to accelerate...
Some cosmological observations which suggests the presence of dark energy are,
1. Observations of supernovae:In 1998 the researchers team works on a observation of Type 1A supernovae. And they submitted a project which suggests the expansion of universe is accelerating.this project helps to measure the expansion history of universe by looking at the relationship between distance to an object and it's redshift.
2. By measuring of the large scale wave pattern of mass density in the universe proofs the existence of dark energy.
3.observing the CMB model: CMB model i.e cosmic microwave background which indicates the universe is close to flat in shape. Which indicates the mass energy of the universe is equal to the critical density.which also evidence of dark energy.
Now according to CMB(cosmic microwave background)model its about 68.3 % of energy density in the universe is dark energy.
