Most viable staffing issue with long term services with support is Deficiency of staff.Physician involvement at all stages of the longterm care process is necessary as well as that of trained nurses,medical specialist ,therapist ,dentist,pharmacist and others a team approach is essential to evaluate patient needs and to determine staffing requirements to meet them.Continuous working in same place with same pay with lot's of work causes staff to loss their interest on work ,indirectly it effects care of patient.This is the key issue to address .Main causes for deficiency of staff are * lack of required skills for available staff * not giving equal pay for equal work *Lack of accommodation for distance ones. Improvement in the education of the health care personel is needed to reduce the problem of lack of skills. Before staffing of all the type of facilities that give long term services must follow *Development and regular recording of information on the needs of the health services of chronically ill and aged patient ,emphasizing functional status and nature if disabilities requiring assistance ,by this we can alot the staff according to need ,it will help to reduce burden on staff . * provide continuous nursing education to improve skills of staff and it help to provide quality care according to trends. *Provide accommodation for long distance staff *Arrange duty in shifts .
