1.TEACHING WHICH IS PRIORITY IN THE MANAGEMENT OF WOUND CARE FOR A DIABETIC CLIENT:

• First of all advise the patient to follow diabetic diet and be stick on insulin dosage.
• Wash feet daily.
• Advise to avoid walking bare foot.
• Keep the wound dry.
• Advise to wear comfortable shoes.
• To maintain personal hygiene properly.
• Regular checkups should be done in clinic.
• Advise to keep in control the blood glucose level.
• Keep your wound in better condition.

2. PROPER TECHNIQUES TO ASSESS AND CARE FOR A DIABETIC WOUND.

• 1. First of all wound assessment should be done.i.e, progression, infection and healing.Wound identification is very much important, Because it causes long-term complications or amputation.
• Necrosed tissue should be debrided from the wound, it will help in fast healing. This necrosed tissue if remained in the wound then it can cause infection.
• Diabetic patients are much more in high risks for infections. So doctors recommend antibiotic oral or injectables as per need to the patients to cure the wound fast.
• Moisture balance should be maintained. The wound should be not too wet nor too dry. Drain the wound debrins.
• Proper nutrition, and treatment of high blood sugar, high blood pressure should be done.
