Business environment is described as the totality of the external forces, factors and institutions affecting the operations of an organisation which are beyond the control of the business enterprise. The perceptual characteristics of the business environment happening around would include the competitiors, customers, suppliers, government, financial institutions, social groups, laws etc. All of these constitutes making the business environment and share the same characteristics which is they are compound in nature, constantly changing, could be long term or short term, inter related components, very uncertain and having unlimited influence over the business organisations.

2. The architectual design and furnishing talks about how the business environment is made. The main forces, factors and institutes which makes the business environment and furnishes the same influences and changing happening around are the competitors, customers, suppliers, government, technology, culture, social environment and legal factors. All of these components are architectured and designed in such a manner where they are inter related and exclusive together, making an impact on your business. For example, customers and their demand, preferences, income level would decide how much they could buy and have the capacity to purchase. This would impact both the organisation and the suppliers as determining the demand would make them supply the same good accordingly.

Another example could be seen where the advancing technology cannot enter the country if the government doesn't allow the permit and the provide the resources to use it so.

Culture, Social environment and customers are also linked together where you cannot supply the products to the customer until and unless you do not understand the right culture and the sociology behind the same market.
