Thanksgiving is a day which involves food, drinks and football. It’s a day where the whole family comes together and spend time with family and friends. So if I’m hosting a traditional thanksgiving dinner it would include relatives sharing and picking on each other and kids playing all over the place. The whole aroma and environment around the house feels homely and everyone can relate to that whether you belong to state or not, you can relate to the family get-together that follows. If we look at the traditional aspect of thanksgiving we look at the pilgrims and the Native American coming together and sharing meals, it also marks as the harvest season, but in the end it symbolizes spending time with people that you love and care about coming together, having meals and rejoicing in happiness. Some traditions that I would tell my friend is about the travel, that people travel from far to celebrate this with family and it’s the one of the busiest day . The President pardons two turkeys who then goes to live on a farm. Then comes the food, with turkey, stuffing, corn bread, cranberries, bloody marry, mashed potatoes and pie which are some of the food items that are being prepared on that day. Then comes the Macy's parade in New York which you can watch on T.V or you can tune in for the football match if you’re a fan. Then there comes the wish bone, it is breast bone when the meat from it is removed and it is dry, two people would hold the two ends and whoever gets the bigger end while pulling it, their wish will come true. After the meal people may go on walk or play some football or board games or even charades, it all varies with choice. People also helps by serving food in shelters so that others can also enjoy it. Overall thanksgiving is the holiday of giving thanks to what you’re thankful for and involves family time providing a homely environment so everyone feels at home.
