Airbnb founders were looking to raise some extra money for their rent. Air Bed and Breakfast was the full name. Investors rejected their idea initially. They also sold cereals to raise money. Collaborative consumption was their motivator.
Telegram founder's mission was to create a an app that lets you chat secretly without anyone spying on it. Hence, better security for chatting was the need that drove its invention.
Skip the dishes founders ordered their food from local restaurants and realised that delivery system can be made more efficient. They resigned their jobs and worked on it.
Apple started as a company to sell computers. They had made a revolutionary computer Apple I and it was better than others.
Uber emerged as the founder Kalanick wanted to reduce the cab fare. The founders had already sold their previous startups for a healthy price. Hence, the revolutionary start up was born
