Comment in 500 words, The immigration and the economy in US, negative and positive affect?
Introduction
Immigration is one of the hot topics in Presidential elections across the United States at most times. It refers to the flow of people from countries outside into the United States in search of work or better living conditions or otherwise for various reasons such as marriage etc.
The country is seeing a huge inflow of immigrants because of the kind of lifestyle the country has on offer and the higher paying jobs which leave people well off when compared to the domestic counterparts respectively.
The positive and negative impacts of the strategy are as explained.
Positives:-
Immigrant population bring with them the local culture and add value to the United States in the same. The countries diversity increases and has allowed all people from different race and culture to stay together and share each others views. Further these people contribute a lot of money in terms of the gross domestic product. Many immigrants tend to find jobs in top companies and are high tax paying people because of their innovation skills and knowledge respectively. Immigrant businesses as per sources generated " $775 Billion in the United States" in 2010.
Further they tend to bring with them ideas and thoughs which contribute towards the nations growth respectively thus enabling to create more jobs.
Negatives:-
On the other hand immigration creates problems for the economy in terms of loss of jobs for the ethnic natives. Further, the government has to spend more on healthcare needs of all and gradually increase minimum wages because of the same.
Also, ethnic clashes are common in the United States because of immigration being an issue. Further, unaccounted immigration poses a big threat to the economy since these people are usually low wage laborers who are not accounted for while they still enjoy the perks of being in a developed nation and enjoying all facilities.
The problem of terrorism in the United States is also long been debated to be a huge problem because of its relaxed previous norms on immigration respectively which has left the federal investigating agencies on their toes against some ethnic groups.
