Religion is the belief in worship of an all powerful and superhuman power. Different religions containdifferent elements such as the divine, sacred things, faith, supernatural beings, etc.

To best be able to understand religion, there are 4 fundamental aspects of it:

a. Symbolism - It is the usage of various symbols or other external aids to preserve and develop the ability to identify with the religion.

b. History - Each religions gets its philosophhy from historical stories or events known as mythology. It forms the basis of almost all religions as well as the teachings.

c. Philosophy - It forms the rationale of the whole scope of the religion

d. Mysticism - The belief in something superior and out of reach from the hands of the common man. Only specific chosen people have the ability to see and understand the divine.

Almost all of these principles are followed by the various religions in the world today.
