consider the conceptual physics behind the visual process. explain how the curves of the cornea and the lens relate to the angle of light waves projection.

describe some of the changes or problems in the eye structure that can cause a problem with vision.

describe some of these problems and the way they alter or block like ways for example, cataracts obstruct light waves, thereby causing problems with vision.

describe the role of photoreceptors and their location in the eye. explain the importance of locations to other cells in the retina and the influence on light waves.
the optic nerve produces a blind spot in our visual field. explain how the knowledge about the blind-spot and our lack of awareness teach us about the perceptual process.

Hello,

The curve of the cornea :

In human eye, the cornea and the lens system acts as like single thin lens. The cornea is a transperent structure that bends 70% of the light rays entering the eye. When light rays passing from air into the aqueous humor through cornea it changes refractive index and bends light rays bends them in such way that they fall on the lens. According to the rule of the refraction of the light rays, when it passes from rare to the denser medium it changes its path and bends towards normal hence it cover the large area of lens.

The lens:

In human eye there is converging that is covex lens is used. When light rays falls on lens, it converges them in such a way that it falls on the retina and produces image directly on the fovea. There are ciliary muscle which can change the size and shape of the lens according to the distance of the object

Distant Object and close object:

For distant object, the lens becomes thin in such way that the image is formed on the fovea.

For close object, the lens becomes more rounded hence the image is directly falls on the fovea.

Problems in the eye structure:

Due to the changing eye structure, there are problems in the eye are farsightedness and nearsightedness.

Farsightedness:

Due to high curvature and short focal length, the image is formed behind the retina. Hence the person has problem to see the close object clearly.

It can be corrected by using convex lens.

Nearsightedness:

The buldging of cornea and elongated eyeball forms image in between retina and lens. Hence the person has problem to see the distant object clearly.

It can be corrected by using concave lens.

Cataract:

The clouding of the lens decreases the vision is called cataract. It blocks the entering of the light rays hence the image is not produced on the retina. It causes blindness.

It can be treated with surgery. Generally, cataract produced in old people.

Thanking You!
