Coronavirus or COVID 19 virus affects all the age groups. But the research shows that the groups which are at higher risk are the older people and those who are having medical conditions. People of age 60 and over who have medical conditions of diabetes, respiratory disease and heart disease are mostly affected with the virus. COVID-19 is a disease which is not equal opportunity affecter. Elderly people have the greatest risk of dying with the virus. In this context of who is having the most risk with COVID-19, research has been done, so that a better idea to deal with the virus is invented and precautionary measures are taken accordingly:

COVID-19 among old and young:

As the virus got started from China, 87% of people with age 30-80 reported with the disease in the month of February. The disease got spread more frequently when coming in contact with other people. Teenagers also reported with the disease but the spread rate was comparatively less than in the older age. Moreover, the death rate was most in old people. Further with people having a weak immunity system were affected the most. However, the age factor was directly related to the death risk of the people and affected the most having a weak respiratory system. The more the age is the more is the increased risk that the respiratory system will be influenced by the virus.

Young people seem to be little more protected than older. Even the causality rate is lesser compared to old.

COVID-19 among men and women:

The effect of COVID-19 on sex is not much clear than the age factor. But data suggest that men are more susceptible compared to women. One of the reason may be that the men are more frequent traveller than women so there is a chance of men more likely to exposed to the carrier of the virus. Even the fatality rate is lesser in women as compared to men. China has reported a 1.7% fatality rate in women and 2.8% in men.

COVID-19 among sick and healthy:

People with existing illness and health issues are most likely to get affected seriously with the virus. moreover, men have a higher rate of cardiovascular disease so they are mainly affected. Incidence have shown that people who have the pre-existing illness are admitted into intensive care and put on ventilators who have acquired the coronavirus disease.

As compared to healthy people who have a strong immunity system are less likely to get affected by the disease. Even if they are undergoing the COVID-19 virus then also there are more chances to get them to recover early and even the death rate is less.
