It's obvious that women comprise a very small portion of today's CEOs and leaders. It has been mentioned that if women take a transformational leadership approach to managing and leading, that women may be able to bridge the gender-equality gap that exists in today's top, senior, and executive ranks. How can being a transformational leader help women bridge this gap?
Transformational leadership is defined as the one that believes in transforming the company as well as its employees. It involves motivating the employees to come out of their comfort zone and achieve something big for themselves as well as for the company. It is believed that the transformational leadership approach can help the women to bridge the gender-equality gap that exists in the top, senior, and executive ranks. It is because it would challenge the whole structure and ranking system of the company. The employees will be motivated to deliver results irrespective of their gender. There will be no gender biases of any kind in the company. Only the one having talent and skills would rise to the top level of the company. It would provide women with an equal chance to grow in the company with their revolutionary ideas and approaches. Therefore, it would be able to bridge the gap presently existing in the company.
