order to make its response more useful.

Solutions

Expert Solution

The following two issues in the wording could be improved to make the response of the question more useful

1) " On an average evening"

The "average evening" does't make sense for the responses. The question seems a bit unclear it could be re-framed as "On an average day.." or even "In the evening , how many hours on average do you spend online.. ? By doing so the responder would have much better clarity on the question and the time frame for which he is being surveyed.

2) How many hours do you spend online, surfing social media ?

Here the responder might get confuse whether to give total numbers of hours spent online or to give the number of hours responder spends on social media. To improve the wording we can omit the part about spend online like "How many hours do you spend surfing social media online ?

By doing the above changes the survey questions would be more useful and clear which in turn would result in better responses.
