Solutions

Expert Solution

1. IoT based Big Data Services in (AI) uses the knowledge of the 3 pillars of the Technological Innovation industry namely IoT( The Internet of Things), Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence. Together they are enabling the development of efficient & intelligent systems and processes. The various services of IoT based Big Data Services in (AI) are :

  • Ubiquitous Computing Systems or UCS: This refers to the technology wherein computing can be done anywhere in any kind of system environment and in any device i.e one can access his/her systems and processes in the form of a digital cloud and doesn't need to carry around a device. Microsoft Office 365 is an example of the UCS which can be accessed from anywhere, you just need your login and password.
  • Production Monitoring Cloud System: This is also referred to as Industry 4.0( i.e the fourth industrial revolution ) Oracle has developed an IoT based system which uses Big Data and AI to effectively and manage industrial systems and process happening in real-time, some of the features are to view the systems and processes, to check for errors and defects in the systems, to stop or start the production on mobility basis.
  • Blockchain Technology: Blockchain is the vast and globally distributed ledger and database network system which is currently running on millions of devices everywhere in the world. It uses the concepts of IoT based Big Data Services in (AI) for its functioning.
  • CIoT‑Net: It is a cognitive-system that has the understanding and uses the application of the IoT(Internet of Things) based technology along with Big Data and AI to develop smart city architecture.

2.

The BCG matrix axis is:

1. Relative Market Share ;

2. Relative Market Growth ;

and the various dimensions are=> Stars, Question Marks, Dogs, and Cash Cows.

The X-axis represents the relative market share and the Y-axis represents the relative market growth.

3.

The services stated above in the BCG matrix :

Question Marks: These have a high potential for market growth but the relative market share currently is less, BlockChain and CIoT cloud belong to this category.

Stars: The UCS or the CLoud Based computers are having a high market share and high market growth also as indicated by the success of Microsoft Office 365.

Cash Cows: The market growth or the potential to grow in the market is lost but the market share is still relatively high , in our case the cloud based prodcution systems need further innovation in order to become stars again as the newer technologies seemlingly have more growth potential.

Dogs : They have low market share as well as low market growth.
