For a questionnaire to be effective and efficient at the same time, there exists four considerations that should be taken care of before designing the same:
1. Research Objectives: The first consideration that should be taken care of is the objective of the research. The questions asked should be designed in such a manner where they meet the need of answering the objectives for which this techniques was used. For example, if the questionnaire is about social media optimisation, the questions regarded your own health won't play a satisfactory role in meeting the objectives of the research that are related to social media optimisation.
2. Most complete answers: The questions that are being put and designed should be in such a manner where the answers could be completely. Try framing your questions in a way where both the qualitative and quantitative data can be easily collected. For example, an organisation can used feedback system of emojis to take the data regarding if the customer liked the delivery or not by selecting the most appropriate emoji as per the deliver from being sad to happy.
3. Easy to undestand: The question asked should be easily to understand and easy to answer as well. For example, putting double question in a single statement Like if you like our product or not, and if yes, why you like our product better? This question is irrelevant and hard to understand, thus customers won't even answer it accurately.
4. Brief and interested: At last, the questions that you are designing should be brief, nice and appealing to look and should keep the customers interested in such a manner where they feel nice answering the questions. For example, including personal aspects like what can we do to make our service better for you, could make the customer answer in a good manner.
