What events were most significant in determining the ultimate outcome of the Russian revolution?
The Russian revolution was the result of incessant economic turbulence and downfall, socio-political unrest and the long time anarchy caused by the ruler which outraged general people leading to the development of the revolution part by part in different periods through various events. The revolution which took place in the 1917 can be considered as one of the most significant revolution of 20 th century which collapsed the mere setting of Imperial rule in Russia and and led to the formation of Soviet Union.
There were succession of wars which required lot of capital, manpower and taxes before the main revolt. Despite great losses in the Russo Crimean War in 1854-56,Russo-Turkish in 1877-78, Russo-Japanese war; Russia entered into the first world war. The subsequent losses in the wars took a toll on the economy and politics of the country leaving people to suffer.
The uprising of the peasants could be considered as one of the event for the outcome the Russian revolution. In Russia, Feudal system was prevalent for a longer time where landless peasnts were forced to work in the land of land owners known as 'Serfs' who were oppressed and deprived from their rights lading to the suffering under poverty and famine. The society was divided into two groups on the basis of economic condition- Rich and Poor. The rich were getting richer with time and the poors were getting oppressed and poor at the same time. Czar Alexander abolished the 'serf' system in 1861 and allotted lands to the peasants. But they had to pay tax in return to the government despite failing corps. So peasants were outraged leading to the biggest revolt of the country.
Besides peasants, industrial workers were also trying to overthrow the class system and government rule due to the low wages in their work place, unsafe working environment and poor amenities which led them to suffer under poverty and life threat due to dangerous working condition in mines, factories and industries. workers eventually started protesting which was dominated by the industrialists using armed forces which further aggravated the situations. The construction of Trans-Siberia and Trans- Caspian Railway lines led to the formation of many industries in the country creating awareness among industrial workers about their rights whch also made them to rise up for their freedom from the oppression of rich class.
Besides, the Csar of the country Nicholas II was not interested in solving the problems that the country was going through. rather he was more engrossed in his personal and family life which really left the people of the country for the further sufferings. People were enraged by the autocratic rule of the Czars though some reforms were brought by Czar Alexander II. The successor of Alexander II who were Alexander III and Nicholas II considered themselves as God and brought the country's rule under ' one Czar, one church, one Russia'.
All the above mentioned facts and oppressions by the ruler of the country resulted into the collaboration of peasants, industrial workers, students, intellectuals to revolt against the Czars.
