So once relieved from my graduation, these are the strategies
and examples to manage my time:
- Self-awareness: I will make sure that I have a great amount of
awareness about my time management by using assessments like
microsimulation, feedback from peers and jotting critical
incidents.
- Multitasking: To improve my time management skills, I would be
using multitasking to know where I face challenges and leverage
maximum from the time.
- Leveraging Technology: I plan to employ technology like
real-time stopwatches and Google Calendars to make sure that each
activity is given a devoted time and each activity is completed
during its blocked time.
- Prioritizing activities and obligations: Prioritizing
activities in the Green, Yellow and Red to make sure that
activities are prioritized according to their urgency because if we
fail to complete them at the scheduled time, they are bound to get
ignored or procrastinated.
- Scheduled Breaks: Necessary and regular breaks to be taken and
recorded to ensure that high breaks and procrastination are
avoided.
- Reducing Time Wasters: I plan to create no-disturb-time-slots
and put the same on my social media profiles. For example ' Busy"
on Whatsapp.
- Avoiding the fallacy of Sunk Cost: I use cost-benefit analysis
of each activity and see which activities consume much time but do
not yield much benefit so as to avoid them.
