12-year-old 25 lb intact male terrier mix. He presents ADR.

I did the first two but i don't know if it is correct and then got lost

b. You determine he is 7% dehydrated with no current ongoing losses. What is the total volume needed to rehydrate Fluffy over 24 hours? Use a maintenance rate of 55 ml/kg/day.

25Ibs/2.2 = 11.36kg = 11.4kg

Maintenance = 11.4kg x 55ml/kg/day = 627ml/hr

Dehydration volume = 11.4kg x 0.07ml = 0.798 x 1000 =798ml over 24 627ml + 798ml = 1425ml over 24 hours

c. What would his hourly rate be for this 24 hour period (ml/hr)? What is the rate in gtt/s using a 20gtt/ml set?

1425/24 =59.3 =59ml/hr (59ml/hr) x (1hr/60min) x (1min/60sec) x (20gtt/1ml) = 1180/3600 = 0.32gtt/s = (0.32gtt/sec)x4 = 1gtt/4s

d. What would his hourly rate have been if he had ongoing losses of 25 mls hourly? (use your values from part c)

e. You recheck the patient after 12 hours. There are no ongoing losses and his dehydration status is now 5%, what does his rate drop to for the remaining 12 hours of the day (ml/hr and gtt/s)?

f. What is the total volume required in a 6 hour time period to rehydrate him if he had come in with no ongoing losses and 7% dehydration?

g. What would his hourly rate be for this 6 hour period (ml/hr)? What is the rate in gtt/s over the 6 hours using a 20 gtt/ml drip set?
