Nail Salons are comprised of a small scale business. It hires trained professionals to place the clients giving them nail fitting service, polishing, artificial nail fixing, and various foot care treatments. The technicians working with these business face a heavy health hazards each day they work in. Since they are exposed to chemicals found in glue, polishes, nail removers, and other salon products which leads to negative health issues such as asthma, respiratory illness, skin problems, liver diseases, cancer, etc…Since the working conditions pose a risk the OSHA has placed regulations in working and to work in safety measures while working in such as usage of proper masks and gloves when exposed to chemicals and while taking care of the customers, Regular washing and cleaning of hands properly after every order with the customers so as to ensure that the staffs are well of from the chemicals that may cause a threat for their lives causing various issues to their skin and body. The saloon must be maintained well with free ventilation of air in and out to keep the doors and windows open when using the chemicals. Always keep the exhaust system on in saloon. Store the chemicals in small bottles well labeled on it. Remember that the bottles should be closed properly after usage. Dispose of the used cottons and materials immediately after the usage. Wash hands carefully after usage of chemicals and before eating anything. Wear proper goggles and protective gear when dealing with the products in the saloon.
