The tea party movement is an American conservative movement, the members of the movement called the meet to reduce national debt of the United States and federal budget deficit by reducing government spending, and for lower taxes. The movement opposes government-sponsored universal healthcare.
The main agenda of the populist party represents the interests of farmers and labourers in the 1890s, advocating increased currency issue, free coinage of gold and silver, public ownership of railroads, and a graduated federal income tax.
Both the party have their own sets of agenda and ideas.
Tea party movement was called to oppose government spending.
